SUMMER READING CHALLENGE
The Marinette County Public Libraries are challenging children, teens, and adults
to collectively read 100,000 minutes this summer!
Are you ready to read?
The Marinette County Public Libraries are hosting a County-wide Summer Reading Challenge from June 22, 2020 to July 31, 2020. Our goal is to collectively read 100,000 minutes.
Participation is free and open to the public.
Registration begins on June 15, 2020.
Readers with access to the Internet may register on the Beanstack website or download the Beanstack Tracker App for iDevices or Android. You will use this website or app to keep track of the minutes you read and the activities you complete.
Readers without Internet access may contact your local branch library to register. You will use the "Reading and Activity Log" in the Summer Reading Challenge Activity Book to keep track of the minutes you read and the activities you complete.
Summer Reading Challenge Kit
When you register for the Summer Reading Challenge, you may request a Summer Reading Challenge Kit for your family. The Summer Reading Challenge Kit contains an activity booklet and supplies to complete the crafts and activities. If more than one person in your family wants to participate, please request the "Craft Supplies for Additional Person" when you register additional family members.
Please note, supplies of the kit and additional craft supplies are limited.

The goal of the Summer Reading Challenge is to encourage individuals and families to read this summer. You choose what you want to read (fiction or nonfiction books, graphic novels, magazines, or newspapers), where you want to read (in the house, in your yard, in the car), and when you want to read (anytime is the right time).
Keep track of the minutes you spend reading. When you share your reading minutes with the library, you will earn virtual raffle tickets and be entered in our Grand Prize Drawings at the end of the summer. Prizes will be gift certificates to local businesses.
If you are using the Beanstack site, the library will be notified of your progress automatically. If you are keeping track on paper, please turn in your "Reading and Activity Log" to your home library by July 31, 2020.
Do you need another copy of the "Reading and Activity Log?" Use this link to print extra copies at home or contact your local library to pick up a printed copy.
The Marinette County Public Libraries will host virtual events this summer. Join us for some fun!
Find virtual event recordings in Beanstack along with each week's challenge, on Facebook, or on the library's website in the "Recorded Programs & Tutorials" page.
